When I Laid My Ego Down

I checked my ego a long time ago.Not because I was weak. Not because I stopped believing in myself. But because I realized my ego was louder than my truth.

The ego is subtle. It sounds like protection. It feels like control. It disguises itself as strength. But most of the time, it’s fear. Fear of not being chosen. Fear of not being seen. Fear of not being enough…and when ego is in control, we block the very things we’re praying for.

Love can’t land where defense lives. Correction can’t reach us if pride is guarding the door. Healing can’t enter a heart that insists it’s already right.

The ego says: “Prove yourself.”
The Spirit whispers: “You already are.”
The ego says: “Win.”
Love says: “Receive.”

..and here’s what I’ve learned  you cannot receive with a clenched fist.

Ego clenches…Love opens…Ego compares.

Love trusts…Ego reacts…Love responds.

The more I surrendered the need to be right, to be validated, to be superior, the more peace I experienced. The more I let go of defending an image, the more I stepped into my true identity..and that identity doesn’t strive. It doesn’t compete. It doesn’t beg. It rests.

If you feel blocked today… ask yourself gently:

Where is my ego protecting me?

What would happen if I softened here?

What could I receive if I released the need to control?

You are not here to defend your worth. You are here to embody it….Let today be the day you loosen your grip. Let today be the day you open your hands. Let today be the day you choose peace over pride….Because what is meant for you does not require ego to obtain it only openness to receive it.

Stay open.

Stay soft.

Stay powerful.

Your ignition starts within. 🔥
