Good morning, Beautiful Souls!

Years ago, when my children were little and getting ready for school, I would wake them up singing a song from SpongeBob called “The Best Day Ever.” Before their feet ever touched the floor, I wanted them to know something powerful: Today is the best day ever.

Not because everything would go according to plan. Not because everyone they encountered would be kind. Not because life would unfold perfectly.

No.

Today is the best day ever simply because they woke up to experience it.

Friends, there is so much in this life that we cannot control. We cannot control people. We cannot control circumstances. We cannot control disappointments, delays, traffic, or unexpected detours. But there is one thing we can steward with great intention: the world within us.

When we choose to cultivate peace, gratitude, balance, joy, and love within our own hearts, we have already laid the foundation for a beautiful day.

One of the lyrics in that little song says, “The sun came up and smiled at me. Said, it’s gonna be a good one, just wait and see.” I absolutely love that.

Imagine greeting each morning with that perspective. Imagine waking up and immediately giving thanks for another sunrise, another breath, another opportunity to grow, to love, to serve, and to become. Imagine not allowing your joy to be determined by what someone else is doing..or not doing.

Today is a gift. This moment is a gift. Your life is a gift.

Now, I know some people may say, “Oh, I don’t watch SpongeBob,” or “That’s not for me.” And that’s perfectly okay. You do not have to watch SpongeBob.🤣

However, I have discovered that wisdom often arrives in unexpected packages. Inspiration can come through a song, a conversation, a child, nature, a stranger, or even a cartoon. If we remain open, life is constantly offering us messages, encouragement, and opportunities to awaken.

Do not miss a blessing because it didn’t arrive in the wrapping paper you expected.

And if something truly doesn’t resonate with you, that’s okay too. Keep moving forward and continue seeking what nourishes your spirit.

The goal remains the same: awaken, grow, heal, and ignite.

So today, stand tall, smile deeply, and boldly declare:

This is the best day ever!
