Greetings, wonderful you! ☀️❤️
This past week, my daughter and I spent four incredible days in Las Vegas attending Osteopathic Medical Education Conference (OMED) 2026, an educational, igniting, and inspiring event centered on osteopathic medicine. ❤️🩺
We were blessed to connect with some amazing physicians, medical students, and fellow pre-med students who shared their knowledge, experiences, and wisdom with us. I’m especially grateful to have connected with physicians who are mentoring us along this journey. Having people who are willing to pour into you, answer your questions, and help guide your steps is truly a blessing.
Beyond the education and connections, one of the most beautiful things about my journey into medicine is that I get to share it with my daughter. What started as a pursuit of knowledge has become something that has brought us even closer together. We’re learning, growing, challenging ourselves, and discovering so much about the world and the human body together.
..and let me tell you, this journey will make you think! 😂❤️
From chemistry and biology to calculus, cadaver workshops, we’re exploring the building blocks of life, how things work, and the incredible complexity of the human body. And the deeper we go, the more we realize how much there is to learn and understand.
But beyond the books, the lectures, the exams, and the late nights studying, there’s a lesson I want to share with you.
TIME IS GOING TO PASS REGARDLESS.
Read that again, wonderful you.
Sometimes, we put our dreams on hold because we think about how long it will take. We tell ourselves we’re too old, it’s too late, we don’t have enough time, or the road ahead is simply too long. But what if you started anyway?
Four years from now, those four years will have passed regardless. The question is, where do you want to find yourself when they do?
Do you want to look back and realize you spent those years talking yourself out of something you truly wanted? Or do you want to look back and see the progress you made because you decided to believe in yourself enough to begin?
That’s something I remind my daughter of as we continue this medical journey together. We don’t have to accomplish everything overnight. We don’t have to know every answer today. We simply have to remain committed, keep showing up, and take the next step.
One class at a time. One exam at a time. One lesson at a time.
Small steps, taken consistently, can carry you toward a life you once only imagined.
And there’s another important piece to this journey: WHO YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH MATTERS.
Be intentional about the people you allow to influence your thinking, your habits, and your vision for your life.
Seek out people who are doing what you aspire to do. Learn from those who have walked the road before you. Ask questions. Listen. Observe. Be willing to be the least experienced person in the room if it means you have an opportunity to grow.
And when you reach a place you once dreamed of reaching, don’t stop there. Find new mentors. Explore new ideas. Challenge your understanding. Continue climbing.
Because life is a continuous journey of learning, growth, and discovery. There will always be another mountain to climb, another lesson to learn, and another level of understanding to reach.
Knowledge expands what you know. Wisdom helps you understand how to apply it.
So, wonderful you, don’t allow the length of the journey to discourage you from taking the first step. Don’t let someone else’s timeline convince you that you’ve missed your opportunity. And don’t spend so much time worrying about how far you have to go that you forget to appreciate how far you’ve already come.
Set the goal. Make the commitment. Surround yourself with people who inspire your growth. And keep going, even when the process becomes difficult.
My daughter and I are walking this journey together, reminding one another that the dream is worth pursuing and that every step has value.
And I want you to know that YOUR DREAM IS WORTH PURSUING, TOO.
Whether it’s returning to school, starting a business, changing careers, improving your health, healing, or finally doing something you’ve been putting off, give yourself permission to begin.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to start.
The time will pass anyway…
Make the time count. Invest in yourself. Choose your circle wisely. Keep climbing that mountain of knowledge and wisdom.
And most importantly, never stop becoming.
Wake up. Show up. Ignite! 🔥❤️
With love,
