Greetings, Wonderful You,
Today, I had a realization that feels deeper than words.
The mind ceased producing events. Nothing expected. Nothing rejected. Nothing claimed as my own. And somehow, in the absence of all of that, I discovered something beautiful:
I have lost nothing by not knowing…
For so long, I was certain of so many things. I had explanations, expectations, identities, stories, labels, plans, and conclusions. I thought knowing was wisdom.
Now I’m not so sure. And I’m okay with that…
Because perhaps not knowing is its own form of knowing..the recognition that everything I thought I knew was only a perspective passing through consciousness.
I am learning to release the identity I created and called “me.” The body was born. The body will one day die. But am I the body? Or am I the consciousness witnessing the body?
Just as light moves across a cinema screen and creates an entire world of images, thoughts, emotions, memories, characters, beginnings, and endings..perhaps consciousness is the vast screen upon which this temporary experience appears.
Names and forms come and go like waves upon an infinite ocean. The wave rises. The wave changes. The wave disappears. But the ocean remains.
..And perhaps that is why I don’t have to cling so tightly to anything. Not the past. Not the future. Not an identity. Not an outcome. Not even an idea of who I am supposed to become.
There is simply this moment.
I AM.
Before the labels.Â
Before the accomplishments. Â
Before the disappointments.
Before the expectations.
Before the story.
I AM.
..And perhaps the greatest freedom is realizing that what I am looking for is not somewhere outside of me. The inner and outer were never truly separate. What I call “outside” is experienced within consciousness. What I call “inside” appears within the same field of awareness.
So the question changes.
Instead of asking, “Where will I find the knowledge I need?” I can become still enough to ask: “What is here when I stop trying to know?”
Maybe I don’t need every answer. Maybe I don’t need to understand the entire journey. Maybe I simply need to be present enough to recognize the light that is already here.
Today, I release the pressure to know. I release the need to control. I release the need to make everything mean something. I release the old certainty that kept me attached to outcomes and I embrace the freedom of simply being.
I don’t know. And I don’t have to know. I am here. I am aware. I am alive. I AM.
Keep igniting from within. ✨
